John is Co-founder & CEO at Upgraded — the future of ownership. Upgraded sells and manages device subscription programs. Upgraded customers always own the latest and responsibly recycle the old. He is a partner at Reina Capital, where he invests in financial technology. Previously, John co-founded the ecommerce analytics firm Demand Analytics and exited the company to Groupon in 2013. He served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Arbor Ventures in Hong Kong and started coworking spaces in Austin and Shanghai. John is a frequent speaker at SXSW Interactive and the MIT Global Startup Workshop on the topic of entrepreneurship. John was educated at home until age 13 and named a World Economic Forum Global Shaper in 2014. He is proficient in Mandarin Chinese.
